What is Product Management?
Products are the core of your business. You need to enter product information (name, price, specs) before you can manage purchases, sales, and inventory.
Product Management helps you:
- ✓Unified product information management including name, specs, barcode, images
- ✓Set purchase and sales prices, auto-calculate gross profit
- ✓Quick search and filter products through category management
- ✓Support barcode scanning for efficient data entry
View Product List
Enter Product Management
Click 'Product Management' in the left menu to enter the product list page
View Product Information
The list displays product name, code, category, price, stock, etc.
Filter Products
Filter by category, or search by product name/code in the search box
Add New Product
Adding products is the first step to using the system. You can manually enter product info or scan barcodes for quick entry.
Click Add Button
On the product list page, click 'Add Product' button in the top right
Enter Product Name
Enter product name, e.g., Coca-Cola 500ml. This is required and should be clear and accurate
Enter Product Code
Enter product code/barcode (optional). Can be used for barcode scanning, recommend using the barcode from product packaging
Select Category
Select product category, e.g., Beverages, Food, Household items. Categories help with management and filtering
Enter Specifications
Enter product specifications, e.g., 500ml/bottle, 1kg/bag
Select Unit of Measure
Select product unit of measure, e.g., bottle, case, piece, kg
Enter Purchase Price
Enter cost price, used to calculate purchase amounts and profit
Enter Sales Price
Enter selling price, used for sales orders and quotes
Upload Product Image
Click upload area to select image (optional), images help identify products
Save Product
Click 'Save' button, product added successfully
温馨提示
- Product name should include specifications, e.g., 'Coca-Cola 500ml' not just 'Coca-Cola'
- Prices can be modified anytime without affecting historical orders
- Recommend setting product categories for easier management
Edit Product
When product information changes, you can modify it at any time.
Find Product to Edit
Find the product you need to modify in the product list
Click Edit
Click the 'Edit' button on the right side of that product row
Modify Information
Update the product information that needs to be changed
Save
Click 'Save' button to complete the modification
Delete Product
Find Product to Delete
Find the product you need to delete in the product list
Click Delete
Click the 'Delete' button on the right side of that product row
Confirm Deletion
Click 'Confirm' in the popup dialog to complete deletion
When cannot delete?
- • Cannot delete when product has inventory - must clear inventory first
- • Cannot delete when product has pending orders
Category Management
Proper categorization helps you manage products better. The system supports multi-level categories.
Enter Category Management
Click 'Category Management' to enter the category list
Add Category
Click 'Add Category', enter category name like: Beverages, Food, Household
Set Parent Category
Can set parent category to form hierarchy. E.g., Food > Snacks > Chips
Save
Click 'Save' to complete adding category

Category suggestions:
- • Food & Beverage → Drinks, Snacks, Condiments...
- • Household → Cleaning supplies, Paper products, Kitchenware...
- • Electronics → Phone accessories, Computer accessories...
Bulk Import
For large quantities of products, use Excel bulk import to quickly complete product entry.
Click Batch Import
On the product list page, click 'Batch Import' button
Download Template
Click 'Download Template' to get the Excel template file
Fill in Product Data
Open template with Excel, fill in product info following the format. One product per row
Upload File
Click 'Upload File', select the completed Excel file
Confirm Import
System shows import preview, confirm and click 'Confirm Import'
Required Fields in Template
- • Product Name (required)
- • Specifications (recommended)
- • Purchase Price (recommended)
- • Sales Price (recommended)
- • Barcode (recommended)
